I was born in Chennai; raised in Singapore; and have lived in Geneva, Pittsburgh, New York, and Yangon. Each of these places have left an indelible mark on me and together they give me something of a life’s project: an anxious yearning to understand how the places we go inform who we are.
I am a designer, researcher, and writer (though not always in that order). I currently have two main tracks of work: I study how urban design practices are learnt between cities in Southeast Asia and beyond, and I provide strategic communications support for humanitarian and development programmes in Myanmar and elsewhere.
